Speaking with wit, passion, and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we are always eager to hear from Brother Winston Garcia – one of the Caribbean’s finest Catholic Lay Evangelists. Brother Winston serves as Moderator of the People of Praise (POP) Community of Arima, Trinidad. He assumes the overall responsibility for the visioning, leadership, pastoral care, and music ministry of POP.

Brother Winston has fervently ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Word and song, in North America and throughout the Caribbean. His greatest aspiration is to guide people to the heart of God through praise, worship, and Scripture.

Winston holds an undergraduate degree in Musical Arts from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation from the Anglia Ruskin University of Cambridge.

A devoted husband and father, Winston and his beautiful wife Debbie are parents to two girls and three boys. He is skilled in the kitchen and loves his dogs and West Indies cricket.

We anticipate another infusion of energetic and Spirit-filled preaching by Brother Winston in this year’s conference.

Fr. Trevor Nathasingh is a Trinidadian Roman Catholic priest called to conversion from Hinduism. He is now known for his dynamism and charismatic preaching as he proclaims the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church.

In 1975 Fr. Trevor had his first meaningful encounter with the Catholic Church at a charismatic prayer meeting hosted by the Eternal Light Community at St Charles Parish in Tunapuna. At that meeting, he gave his heart to Jesus and has not looked back since!

Within three years, Fr Trevor immersed himself into the life of the Catholic Church. His ordination to the Holy Priesthood took place on Sunday, June 18, 1989. He has since preached worldwide and across the United States and Canada. He is also the founder of the Franciscan House of Prayer, a Catholic Charismatic community-based in Sangre Grande.

Fr. Trevor will bless us with his vibrance and engaging preaching style and will no doubt touch people’s hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit in this year’s conference.

Fr. Matthew D’Hereaux is the parish priest of the St Joseph Parish, Trinidad, as well as the Vocations Director of the Archdiocese. He heads the Archdiocesan Aspirancy House in St Joseph where young men can prayerfully reflect on their call to priesthood. His dream is that all young people in the Archdiocese can intentionally move towards the realization that God may be moving them from one place to another.

He attended the University of the West Indies where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Psychology.

He also holds a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the Alfonsian Academy in Rome (2007-2009), and a Doctorate in Moral Theology from the Catholic Social Teaching Alfonsian Academy in Rome (2009 -2011).

This year Fr D’Hereaux will lead the conference’s penitential service at the start of the Conference on Saturday.
